I wanted to know which is the best UK SIM provider offering free roaming in India.
Few years back Vodafone used to offer free roaming but you had to pay around £5 per day for any active usages. They stopped it.
I was with Vodafone, when they stopped offering free roaming to India I closed my account with them and took the one which offers free roaming to India.
There are few (or may be just one) which offers free roaming. Google search and you will find it.

Forgot to add, few weeks before you leave you must check again if the free roaming is still available or not as they keep changing their policies.
