WordPress Developer – Remote Working

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. You will be responsible for creating custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring seamless integration with various third-party services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Customize WordPress Themes and Plugins:
  • Create custom WordPress themes based on design specifications.
  • Develop and customize plugins to extend WordPress functionality.
• Website Maintenance and Optimization:
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance of WordPress sites.
  • Optimize website performance for speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and availability, managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Responsive and Accessible Design:
  • Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and accessible.
  • Implement best practices for web standards, including SEO and ADA compliance.
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams:
  • Work closely with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-quality websites.
  • Collaborate on project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Strong understanding of PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Tools and Platforms:
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience with modern development workflows and tools (e.g., Sass, Grunt/Gulp, Webpack).
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of website security best practices.
• Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, Joomla).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
